Vint's advice to New Zealand's tech industry: get started now with IPv6 adoption. IPv6 was first developed in 1996 but adoption is still quite low. Businesses need to plan ahead to avoid "engineering in a crisis."
During his visit, Vint also delivered the keynote address at the
Internet Industry Awards, hosted in Wellington by the Liz Dengate Thrush Foundation. This was the first year for the awards to acknowledge and encourage Kiwi entrepreneurship in IT.
