Richard at firstname.lastname@example.org.What is there to work on? Hasn't it all been done. All we can do is wait until the ideas are better presented, perhaps on a version of Apple or Microsfot Windows 2030.
Richard at email@example.com.I wasn't trying to be unpleasant in the above post. But I have been working on "machine translation" for a month or two, using Java, an SQL database (Microsoft Access), and text of the New Testament in Shona and English. I had recognised that anything I did would likely be provided as standard with Windows 2030. The project is still worth working at, because it is a way to maintain or develop skill with Java/JDBC. But I noticed today that there is a lot of statistical machine translation already available free. The only problem is that I can't find anything easy to use, i.e. tailored to the naive user who wants to be able to input the texts and get a result. Be sure then, Google or Microsoft will have something much much easier to use, if we can wait 20 years for it.
